Mictlán is the 2026 Day of the Dead edition, named for the Aztec underworld — the realm of the dead at the heart of Día de los Muertos tradition. True to the holiday, it's the darkest, most dramatic Street Taco Rojas has released: a box-pressed Toro wearing a deep Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, with Nicaraguan tobacco and Connecticut Broadleaf doing the structural work underneath.

Blend Information

Series: Rojas Street Tacos, Mictlán 2026 Limited Edition

Vitola: Toro, box-pressed, 6 x 52

Wrapper: Dark Ecuadorian Habano

Binder: Nicaraguan

Filler: Nicaraguan and U.S. Connecticut Broadleaf

Country: Nicaragua

Strength: Medium–Full

Format: 20-count box

Production: Limited to 1,500 boxes worldwide

Theme: Day of the Dead / Dia de los Muertos

Why Mictlán

Mictlán sits at the center of Mexica cosmology — the deepest layer of the underworld, where souls completed a four-year journey after death. For Día de los Muertos it's the symbolic destination, and Noel Rojas picked it as the thematic anchor for this release precisely because it isn't light or decorative. The darker Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, the heavier Broadleaf-driven filler, and the firm box press are all choices built to match the weight of the name.

Tasting Profile

Medium–Full body across the burn. The dark Ecuadorian Habano wrapper pushes toward richer, deeper notes than the earlier Street Tacos releases, with the Broadleaf-and-Nicaragua filler adding structure and length to the finish. Built to pair with the kind of late-fall and winter drinks the season brings out — darker beers, bourbon, mezcal.

Why This One Matters

The Street Tacos program is small-batch by design, and 1,500 boxes is the entire worldwide run. The Cinco de Mayo editions have been the series' flagship for three years running — Mictlán is Noel's answer on the opposite end of the calendar, built with the same construction standards but a very different mood. When the allocation is spent, it is spent until the next thematic release.

Available at Tinder Box as a single or a 20-count box.
