Sherlock's Choice Pipe Tobacco

This is good. Not quite my favorite, but that's only because there are other mixtures I like better. Good aroma, pleasant taste...but I somehow feel that I should only smoke it in a proper calabash...and wear a deerstalker in tribute to Basil Rathbone.

For 64 years my principal tobacco has been Philosopher. I occasionally try a new English, just for a change. Usually this doesn’t work out. Sherlock’s Choice has been the exception. It’s quite nice, and a not too different change from Philosopher. Ask me again later, though - I’ve not yet fully evaluated it.

I've been smoking Tinder Box tobacco since I worked for them back in the 70's and have always enjoyed their tobacco. I smoked Philosophers for years but changed to Sherlock's Choice in the last year. The last couple of pounds have had more stems then I would have liked but it is still my favorite and go to tobacco for a mild smoke.

Always liked this English blend. Reminds me of the Dunhill English blends.
