The Ashton VSG (Virgin Sun Grown) is the fuller-bodied step up from the Ashton Classic — a richer, spicier, more complex Dominican blend built around a sun-grown Dominican wrapper from the same general family of leaf that defines the Opus X. Released in 1999, the VSG quickly became one of the most respected fuller-bodied Dominican cigars on the market and remains a benchmark in the category.
The wrapper is the headline — Dominican Sun Grown, with the distinctive earthy-sweet character that comes from sun-cured Dominican tobacco. Underneath, a Dominican binder and filler from select-aged tobaccos build a profile of leather, sweet spice, cocoa, espresso, and cedar that develops beautifully across the smoke.
The Sorcerer (Toro) is the most popular vitola — a perfect 6 × 50 expression of the blend. The Robusto delivers the same flavors in a tighter 5 × 50 format. The Corona Gorda is the longer, slower-burning option for an extended session. All three are rolled at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia in Santiago, Dominican Republic.
