The Ashton Cabinet No. 10 is the 7 1/2 x 52 perfecto in the Ashton Cabinet Selection, the house's most heavily aged Connecticut line. A chestnut-hued Connecticut Shade wrapper, given an extra year of age, covers Dominican long-fillers matured five to seven years.
Ashton describes an ultra-refined profile of cashew, almond, white pepper and coffee bean in a soft, velvety smoke, and Cigar Aficionado has rated the Cabinet Selection blend 94 points. The perfecto's tapered head and long 7 1/2-inch length make this one of the line's slower, more ceremonious smokes.
Like every Ashton, it is handmade at Tabacalera A. Fuente in the Dominican Republic, a partnership between the Levin and Fuente families that goes back to 1985.
