Avowed marked its first anniversary in February 2026 with Hallowed Hands, the company's third core line and its boldest to date. Where The Vow was a commitment and New Dawn looked ahead, Hallowed Hands is meant as a pause to reflect — a salute to the individuals and families who have refined the craft of cigar making over centuries, and to the people who shaped Avowed's founders along the way.
Like every Avowed cigar, it is made by Klaas Kelner at Kelner Cigars S.A.S. in the Dominican Republic. And the name is more than a sentiment: each cigar in the line was rolled from start to finish by a single dedicated pair of rollers.
A Line of Firsts
Hallowed Hands broke new ground for the young company in several ways. It is Avowed's first cigar dressed in an Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper, and its first line to launch with three vitolas at once. According to co-founder Dave West, the blend was built in the Corona Gorda, making that size the purest expression of the original idea.
It is also a cigar with some age on it. The Corona Gorda and Toro were rolled in the fall of 2024 — well over a year before release — giving the tobaccos plenty of time to marry.
The Presentation
The packaging carries the theme through. Each humidor-inspired box of 15 holds 15 different bands, a nod to the lifetime of work a single set of fingerprints can leave behind. The boxes themselves are kept deliberately plain, like heirloom furniture, with the detailing moved to the outer sleeve.

Expect a richer, darker profile than New Dawn: dark fruit and cocoa up front, earth and roast underneath, pepper for structure, and a bright citrus edge that keeps it lively. The Pennsylvania Broadleaf in the filler adds depth and weight to a long, satisfying finish.
Choosing a Size
The Corona Gorda (5 3/4 x 46) is where the blend was born — the slimmer ring puts more emphasis on the Corojo wrapper and tends to give the most concentrated, focused flavor. The Toro (6 x 52) adds length and girth for a longer, rounder, slightly cooler smoke.
Pairing Notes
Avowed recommends rye whiskey, red wine, or espresso — and, for something off the beaten path, a Dr Pepper, whose cherry-and-spice character plays right into the cigar's notes.
