The Fat Robusto Pack is a Tinder Box Haverford exclusive built around one of cigar craft's most pleasure-driven shapes: the short, fat-ring-gauge Robusto. Three distinct expressions from three different brands — each a masterclass in how much character a master blender can pack into a stout, full-flavored format. A focused tasting for smokers who like their Robustos with real density behind the draw.
1. J. London Mr. London Fat Robusto
One of the most exciting modern boutique collaborations in premium cigars — J. London founder Jonathan Fiant and legendary master blender Eladio Díaz, working together at Tabacalera Díaz Cabrera in the Dominican Republic. Built around an aged Corojo 99 wrapper over a Mexican San Andrés binder, with a complex filler blend often described as a "seven-layer cake" — Piloto Cubano, Criollo 98, Habano 98, Habano 2000, and HVA tobaccos. Only 250 boxes were produced, making it a true collector's release. Medium-bodied, exceptional texture, and an evolving smoke from light to finish.
2. Tradecraft Azorian Robusto
A medium-bodied, full-flavor Robusto blended by Rob Blumenthal and Wiber Ventura at Tabacalera William Ventura in the Dominican Republic. Wrapped in a 7th priming Ecuadorian Habano over an Ecuadorian Sumatran binder, with fillers from Pennsylvania, Ecuadorian Puntiao Habano, Corojo, and Criollo '98. Smooth and balanced with notes of caramel, earth, baking spice, and sweet rum — a personal expression of the Tinder Box house style, made for this pack.
3. Arturo Fuente Don Carlos Eye of the Bull
Rare, captivating, and unmistakable. The Don Carlos line's tribute to the bull — a short, stout 3¾ × 55 powerhouse with a rich African Cameroon wrapper over Dominican binder and aged Dominican filler from Fuente Estate Tobaccos. Crafted at Tabacalera A. Fuente in the Dominican Republic. Expect a luxurious profile of sweet cedar, roasted nuts, cocoa, and a touch of spice — balanced, elegant, and unmistakably Fuente.
