The H. Upmann Sunrise by AJ Fernandez is the third regular-production blend in the H. Upmann Nicaragua by AJ Fernandez series, joining the original H. Upmann by AJ Fernandez and the Heritage. AJ Fernandez created it with Rafael Nodal of Tabacalera USA, and it debuted at the 2026 PCA Trade Show in New Orleans.
Sunrise is the series' Connecticut: an Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers, with every tobacco in the blend grown, fermented and aged by AJ Fernandez. It is the mildest of the three H. Upmann by AJ Fernandez blends, but Altadis U.S.A. positions it as medium-bodied rather than mild: a smooth, approachable cigar that keeps the Nicaraguan character of the series.
Sunrise is made at AJ Fernandez's main factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, and is packed in boxes of 20.
