The Molina Americano Sandblast (A326) is a compact Italian-made briar pipe from Molina's Barasso workshop in Lombardy — one of Italy's longest-running pipe-making regions, with manufacturing methods inherited from the historic Rossi pipe factory that operated there from 1897 to 1985.
Molina sits on part of the old Rossi factory grounds in Barasso, the Lombardy district whose name refers to the water-powered mills (mulini) that once drove local industry. Molina inherited not only the premises but also the vintage machinery and traditional production methods used by Rossi — and today uses hand-selected briar from central and southern Italy to produce workhorse pipes with an excellent price-to-quality ratio. Offered here in the A326 model, dressed in the sandblasted finish of the Americano series — one of Molina's lightest and most pocketable shapes at under an ounce.
