The Molina Americano Smooth (A126) is a classic Italian-made briar pipe from Molina's Barasso workshop in Lombardy — the smooth-finish variant of the Americano A126 shape, part of Molina's traditional Americano series.
Molina sits on part of the old Rossi factory grounds in Barasso, the Lombardy district whose name refers to the water-powered mills (mulini) that once drove local industry. Molina inherited not only the premises but also the vintage machinery and traditional production methods used by Rossi — and today uses hand-selected briar from central and southern Italy to produce workhorse pipes with an excellent price-to-quality ratio.
The Americano series offers classic shapes in Molina's traditional open-draw style. Offered here in the A126 model, dressed in the smooth finish — the same shape chart as the Americano Sandblast A126, but with the smooth variant's richer stain and the natural briar grain visible rather than the sandblasted texture.
