My Father Blue is the Garcia family's first Honduran puro — the debut cigar from their new Honduras factory, blended with tobaccos grown on Finca La Opulencia and rolled into four box-pressed sizes.
Released at the 2025 Premium Cigar Association Trade Show, My Father Blue marks a new chapter for one of the most decorated cigar-making families in the industry. José “Pepin” Garcia and his son Jaime opened their Honduras facility in 2025 specifically to work with tobacco from Finca La Opulencia, the family's Honduran farm. The Blue is what came out of that partnership — a Honduran puro from a family better known for Nicaraguan legends like the Le Bijou 1922.
The wrapper is a Connecticut Broadleaf Rosado leaf grown in Honduras — deep, oily, and reddish-brown. Underneath sits a Honduran binder and a filler that blends Corojo and Criollo varietals from Finca La Opulencia. All four vitolas are box-pressed and packaged in 20-count boxes.

Tasting Profile
Notably softer than the Nicaraguan My Father staples. Opens with white pepper and warm wood, moves into molasses sweetness, roasted coffee, cocoa and light nutty notes, and finishes with deep oak, earth and a lingering spiced-cedar warmth. Approachable enough for anyone who has found the Nicaraguan My Father blends too aggressive, and complex enough to reward attention.
Choose Your Size
- Petit Robusto — 4½ × 50: Short and focused. Delivers the full Blue experience in a compact box-pressed format. Ideal for a morning smoke or a shorter session.
- Robusto — 5¼ × 52: The workhorse of the line, and the size most reviewers reach for first. Balanced burn time and a rich, layered middle.
- Toro — 6 × 54: The critic's pick. The sweet spot where the blend breathes and develops cleanly across a full hour and change.
- Toro Gordo — 6 × 60: Cooler and slower. The 60-ring gauge opens the blend up further, drawing out more of the cocoa and coffee notes and stretching the finish.
