Oz Family Cigars' Maracana is a modern take on a classic Brazilian-wrapped cigar from Tim Ozgener — founder of Oz Family and the man behind the beloved CAO Brazilia. Named after the legendary Estádio do Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro, where Pelé scored his first goal and his 1,000th, Maracana is a nod to soccer, to Brazil, and to Ozgener's own history: he blended the original CAO Brazilia back in 2001, and Maracana is his return to the format two decades later.
Handcrafted at My Father Cigars in Honduras, Maracana marks the first time the García family has worked with a Brazilian wrapper leaf. A striking Brazilian Arapiraca leaf wraps a double binder of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos, over premium long fillers from the Talanga Valley in Honduras and García-managed farms in Nicaragua. The result is a medium-to-full-bodied smoke with notes of leather, oak, and cocoa — polished, layered, and unmistakably Brazilian in character.
