The Plasencia Alma del Fuego is the third installment in the family's Alma series, following the Alma Fuerte and the Alma del Campo. It is a tribute to Ometepe, the volcanic island rising out of Lake Nicaragua, whose mineral-rich soil produces some of the most distinctive tobacco in the country.
Why Ometepe Matters
Ometepe leaf is dense, mineral, and unmistakable — the product of volcanic ash rather than ordinary valley soil. The Alma del Fuego is built around it: Ometepe tobacco appears in both the double binder and roughly half the filler, giving the blend a spice and depth that Plasencia's other Nicaraguan puros don't reach for.
