A hybrid wrapper that doesn't exist anywhere else, on a Nicaraguan puro that tastes like candy.
Coco Berry is Release No. 154 from the Limited Cigar Association, arriving October 2026 through Privada Cigar Club and made at Lanuza Family Cigars. The centerpiece is a hybrid wrapper Raul Lanuza has been developing called Rosé — red, and sun grown.
The Leaf
Rosé takes all the nutrients and intensity of the Nicaraguan sun, but the leaves get just a little shade from the top of the plant — and that is where it turns into something else. The color alone is worth a look. The flavor is the reason it exists.
A True Puro
The wrapper is only the start. The binder and fillers are Nicaraguan too, grown from the same strain of seed used for Rosé. Raul pulled tobacco from different parts of the plant, grown in different regions of Nicaragua, and brought them together into a single blend. The result is a genuine Nicaraguan puro that doesn't taste like any other Nicaraguan puro.

Tasting Profile
The pre-light aroma is freeze-dried blueberry. The foot gives up sweet cereal grains, and the cold draw turns to marshmallow cream and berry candy.

Expect flavors you don't normally get in a cigar — fruit, candy, sugar, real sweetness — sitting on top of something deep, rich, and dark. Full-bodied, with red pepper keeping the sweetness honest.
Pairing Notes
Vanilla cream soda, port wine, or a blueberry wheat ale. At the table: a grilled pork chop with cherry demi-glace.
