Connecticut Broadleaf is one of the most sought-after tobaccos on the planet. The bad news? Supply is VERY limited. The original, 93-rated RoMa Craft CroMagnon featured a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. But like a lot of blends on the market, RoMa Craft's supply of the leaf was hard to keep up with. The solution? Pennsylvania Broadleaf.
PA Broadleaf shares a lot of characteristics with Connecticut Broadleaf. The thick, flavorful leaves are perfect for maduro wrappers and that's on full display here. A Sumatra binder encases a blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos. Expect a full-bodied blend ripe with rich notes of chocolate, espresso, and hints of spice on the finish.
The Mode 5 is a 5 x 50 perfecto — tapered at both ends, which concentrates the smoke through the first third and opens up as it burns into the body of the cigar.
