The darkest, boldest Tatuaje — a Nicaraguan puro soft box-pressed in a 5 x 50 Robusto, now a permanent part of the Black Label core range for its 20th anniversary.
Pete Johnson built the Black Label as the aggressive, slow-aged counterpoint to his red-banded Havana line, and for two decades it moved only in limited ceramic jars and single-size cabinets. In 2026 — twenty years after the original release — Tatuaje added two sizes to the core range for the first time. The Robusto is one of them: a soft box-pressed 5 x 50 with a fuma head, built to concentrate the Black Label's dark intensity into its shortest format yet.

Tasting Profile
Dark earth, espresso, leather, and black pepper carry the length of the burn, finishing long and dense. The Robusto's compact format concentrates the Black Label's intensity — the same blend you know from the Corona Gorda and the Torpedo, delivered in a smaller frame and shorter arc.
Why This One Matters
For most of its life, the Black Label was something you tracked down — a jar release here, a cabinet there, an allocation you got lucky on. The 20th Anniversary move changes that: two sizes are now permanent, and this is the shorter one. A box-pressed Robusto with a fuma head and twenty cigars inside, available in a format that doesn't disappear in three months.
